Bacon Onion Tomato Pie

  • 6 –8 slices thick-cut bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 large yellow onion thinly sliced
  • 2 –3 medium tomatoes sliced and drained
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Instructions:
  2. 1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. 2️⃣ Cook the bacon until crispy, crumble and set aside.
  4. 3️⃣ In the same pan, caramelize the sliced onions until golden and soft.
  5. 4️⃣ Slice and drain the tomatoes to remove excess moisture.
  6. 5️⃣ Place the pie crust in a deep-dish pie plate. Layer the caramelized onions, tomato slices, and crumbled bacon evenly.
  7. 6️⃣ In a bowl, mix shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, and pepper to form a creamy topping.
  8. 7️⃣ Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the pie crust.

  10. 9️⃣ Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
