Seafood Lasagna with Shrimp & Crab

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups Alfredo sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Method
 

  1. Instructions:
  2. 1️⃣ Prepare the Seafood:
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Cook garlic until fragrant, add shrimp with Old Bay, salt, and pepper, cook until pink (about 3 minutes), then roughly chop. Fold in lump crab meat and set aside.
  4. 2️⃣ Cook the Noodles:
  5. Boil lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and lay flat on parchment to prevent sticking.
  6. 3️⃣ Assemble the Lasagna:
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer noodles, sauce, mozzarella, dollops of ricotta, and seafood mixture. Repeat, finishing with sauce and cheeses on top.

  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  11. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before cutting. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Notes:
For extra flavor, add sautéed spinach between layers.
A pinch of red pepper flakes can add heat if desired.
